Hey everyone! So, we all go on though 3+ hour car rides, and they can be very dull ride. But, they don't have to be.. ♥
The Basics -
• Clothes: You're favorite sweats and a t-shirt! Why dress up when you're going to be in a car all/most of the day? Make sure you bring a sweatshirt in case you get chilly.
• Hair: Again, don't do anything using too much effort. Leave your hair down, braid it, or throw it up in a messy bun!
• Makeup: My makeup tends to get messed up during long car rides. You could wear no makeup, but if you just HAVE to have something on your face, go for some tinted moisturizer, chapstick/lipgloss, and some eyeliner and mascara.
Things To Bring -
• Pillow & A Blanket (And a stuffed animal.. Pillow pet!)
Whether or not you plan on napping, a comfy pillow and blanket it always GREAT to bring along. If you feel like resting your head against the window, use your pillow to avoid getting a headache because of the road bumps. If you want to bring a stuffed animal on the trip, take a pillow pet, if you have one, so you have a pillow AND a stuffed animal all in one. :D
• Snacks & Bottled Water
Limit yourself to how much you eat and drink, because then you'll have to make pit-stops more often. But in case you get the munchies, bring along some chips, candy, or cookies.
• Cell Phone, iPod, etc.
Uh, hello? Texting!! If it's just a family trip, you can stay in touch with all of your friends with your cell, and talking to people always helps me during the ride. Also, if you're one of those people who need music (like I am!) bring along your iPod/MP3!
• Coloring Book & Washable Crayons
Time to let the little kid in you shine through! Bring along a fun coloring book and go crazy! Make sure you use crayons that are washable, so if you accidentally get any marks on the car, you can just wash it away, later.
-- Also, you can sleep. This always helps me!
Quick tip, not makeup related, but I hope this helps some of you! ♥
